Glen Halvorson, M.S., M.D.

Dr. Halvorson is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Halvorson is an Electromyographer for Arizona Pain Specialists in Scottsdale, Glendale, and Chandler Arizona. He is also a Qualified Medical Examiner for the State of California and has been doing EMG’s in occupational health clinics in California since 2002. A former oral examiner for the EMG board and former member of the AANEM educational committee, Dr. Halvorson also served as the Arizona state physician representative to the AANEM for ten years. He is a published author in ElectroDiagnosis and has interpreted over ten thousand nerve conduction studies in the past three years.

 

Miriam Rotman, M.D.

Dr. Rotman is an experienced physician who has been involved in a broad range of medical activities, including clinical practice, medical education and training, evaluation of new medical technologies and practice management. Dr. Rotman has worked at Fidelis Diagnostics since 2006 and is involved in all phases of medical training in the company as well as being responsible for all materials pertaining to the medical facet of the company and coordinating all projects that deal with medical education. Dr. Rotman has also worked as a life-sciences consultant at BIRD Foundation. The Bird Foundation is an Israeli-American joint non-profit organization that strives to support novel technologies in Israel and the US by financing joint projects between American companies and Israeli companies. Dr. Rotman has a fellowship in Family Practice (Israel), lectured at the Tel Aviv Medical School, and is a graduate of Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel.

 

Jim Fernandez, M.D.

A native of San Antonio, Jim Fernandez is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and ElectroDiagnostic Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock and El Paso in 1997. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Fernandez practices PM&R, also known as Physiatry, which is a non-surgical specialty, treating all musculoskeletal issues, including neck and back, with conservative therapies. He also specializes in performing EMG / Nerve studies and interventional spine injections. He practiced in the Dallas area for five years prior to joining Austin Sports Medicine in 2006.

 

Scott Sondes, M.D.

Dr. Sondes received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of New Orleans in 1993. He graduated from Louisiana State University of Medicine in 1998. In 2003, Dr. Sondes completed his residency in Internal Medicine/ Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Sondes is Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Wound Management. He is also the ringside physician for the Louisiana State Boxing commission.

 

Scott Goorman, M.D.

Dr. Scott Goorman received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin, and then returned to his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio for medical school and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He served as chief resident at the University of Cincinnati and his training focus was in ElectroDiagnostic medicine and interventional pain management. Dr. Goorman has maintained this focus in an orthopedic setting for more than twelve years, the last six, with Tucson Orthopedic Institute. He is an active member of the Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, International Spine Intervention Society, and North American Spine Society. He also recently received his MBA from the University of Arizona.
